We believe creativity can overcome limitations
Do you ever wonder how thousands of early learning providers can deliver high-quality education and care to our communities' youth especially those serving low to moderate income families? How do these small business owners sustain their centers or home based business on fees that do not cover the cost of quality care? Can they meet expenses with government subsidies that just about cover costs? What are the impacts to our children, our workforce and the community if these businesses are not profitable?
WE DID and thus, The BLI
There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something you accept no excuses, only results.
~ Ken Blanchard, Co-author The One Minute Manager

BLI Charter
Business Leadership Institute for Early Learning Inc. (BLI) is a consortium of business owners and operators, community partners and individual advocates who come together as a community in the field of early learning child care. We are co-creators of endless possibilities for social enterprises to operate robust vibrant businesses, setting the highest standards for performance outcomes in early learning education and care.
We provide an environment where each constituency is unleashed from historical bias, prejudice and personal limitations.
Our curriculum, V’locity, is a learning experience where business owners and operators problem solve from a sourceful and generative position. Where new openings for new thinking, new ideas and new possibilities show themselves.
As an essential element of BLI our mentors see their participation as a leadership opportunity to make a noteworthy contribution. Our mentors take responsibility for developing themselves through the process of developing others. They create inspiring relationships for the BLI participant to fully express themselves as social entrepreneurs in the industry of child care.
A force to be reckoned with, we are a united voice for what is possible by incubating ideas and developing performance based strategies. Our participants are prepared to create robust
business entities that shape a dynamic future for all children, regardless of economic or social circumstances.
We bridge gaps by engaging the most inspiring network of child care entrepreneurs, legislators and community collaborators who work in concert to define determinants of pathways for success, required resources and aspirational outcomes for children in the communities they represent.
Through solid employment opportunities based on a living wage, benefits and professional growth, educators are seen as critical contributors to local economies. A paradigm shift occurs when these child care educators are recognized as providing the foundation for children to have the most opportunity to advance from learners to earners.
As a result children have dynamic futures. Communities have a field of endless possibilities for their workforce and child care educators are seen as the catalysts that make that difference.
